And they sealed it with a kiss!

It all started with a "kiss". Awe....
And that's just the beginning. We just love this couple!
They couldn't have picked a more perfect day to
be sealed for Time and All Eternity. Our friends
Randy and Cynthia Hansen on their
"day" July 24, 2012.
What made it extra special was that their daughter
Elise got to witness this wonderful event. She was so
happy to be there as you can see.

Bishop was giving the event a big thumbs up, and some
also "squinty eyes", I don't know if he was going for the "Bond look"
or what, but we went with it. Ha ha!
Kami my Go-to girl. We made it a girl day
and ate at Dos Coyotes afterwards. Thanks Kam Kam! (that's what
my daughter Mackenzie calls her.
All of us Ladies so happy to be with Cynthia
on her special day!

Congratulations Randy and Cynthia!
 With much love,

The Hideout part 2#

The weekend is perfect.  It's always good to
take a Mental check once in a while.
I highly recommend it!

Our cottage bumped up to a pasture full of dairy cows and they let us know
that they were there in the wee hours of the morning. They were hungry.
The weather was gorgeous!

I loved this old Red Water Tower.
"very picturesque".

On the way down the coast between Pt Reyes and Sausilito
the Fog was rolling in and the temperature dropped down
to 58 degrees, we played "freeze out' and rolled down
all the windows and felt the cold misty air until
we couldn't take it any more and rolled them windows back up.

Our last stop was Sausilito and we both mugged for
the camera. It's July and we're wearing
long sleeves. Loving it!

What I take away from this weekend. Is that there is
never any regrets spending time with your
loved one. I love him more then I did 24 years ago.
Every day he makes me laugh with
some little anecdote. Like calling me
to remind me to take his tennis shoes out of the washer and
put them out side to dry, there's always a joke in there
and giving me a bad time. It's his voice and tone
that makes me get the giggles, and then he tells me
"that's not funny", which cracks me up even more.

Have a great weekend!

The Hide Out part 1#

We got away, let's just say a mixed
Business and Pleasure Trip!
Here's my trusty driver. Destination
Point Reyes Station/Olema,
"The Hide Out". But first,

A must stop. We have been coming here for years
Tony's on Tamales Bay. Barbecued Oysters and
Crab Sandwiches.( I forgot to take a picture of
the sandwich.) They only take cash as we learned
years ago, so be prepared. There was sign
we saw ATM to get cash but I never saw
the machine, we came prepared though.

These are soooo good!! We split the oysters and sandwich.
There is something about getting out of the heat and wearing
long sleeve shirts with 63 degree ocean air.  It is so invigorating.
I love the fact that it is only 2 1/2 hours away too. Back story
so I had been trying for days to get a place either in Point Reyes or nearby
but the deal is, all the places are a 2 night minimum and we were
only going for one night. So the next best thing was a half hour to 45 minutes away.
Early Saturday morning, ( can't seem to sleep in) I started surfing the net
again to check for vacancies and maybe just maybe I could call and see
if by chance some of these places would take a one night due to a cancellation.
I found a vacancy but I wondered if it was too early to call, it wasn't even
6:30 in the morning. Well hey, if I didn't try, what did I have to lose? So I not only
called but I e-mailed. Well no one answered, of course, but
I thought I'll continue to get ready, who knows, at least we had the
other place. A couple hours later, "Kelly" the proprietor called, I said, "I know
you normally have a two night minimum but would she consider a guest for one night,
she said "we were in luck and that  she had had a cancellation, and it was ours!"  Yes!! My
determination paid off.  Now, the dilemma, I hoped that it was still early enough
to cancel the other reservation. I decided to go for it, after all they were a
Chain and I'm sure they could fill the room easy enough. I called,
and after talking to "Jenny" from an unnamed Outsourced customer service, I will not
say but it rhymes with Cyndia, ha ha, she said that she spoke to the hotel and they
would cancel and refund my reservation.  Yay, happy happy dance!!  Mr. Hubby
doesn't know how hard I work on to plan these things, but that's okay, we
got the "The Hideout"!
Look, they even have a personal sign
of "Welcome" to greet you when you arrive.
When you arrive, it is a self-check in,  you just get to
your cottage, the doors unlocked with instructions inside.
Perfect!
Part 2# coming up!

Time is fleeting....

It seems as though I don't have much time here lately.
As I said before my mom is here with us and her friend Pepe for
at least a month and so between work, home and Church responsibilities
Mom has lots of appointments. And that is why my hubby is taking me
away just for a night to debrief so to speak. The Coast is calling my name with
a loud resounding voice and I must obey.
Do you ever think sometimes that you get so busy that
you don't even have time to think? A couple of months ago we had a marvelous
Stake Conference and the one thing I got out of it is, that we need to
prioritize and do whats the most essential First. I often repeat that
in my head, I need to do what's most important first.
We have been blessed and privileged to live where we live and
I need to try and stay focused on some goals while we are here.
So whether Hubby knows it or not, he and I need to takesome
time this weekend to remind ourselves and get refocused on what's
the most important things we need to be doing for our future.
He would like to retire in 4 or 5 years, actually last night
he said he would love to retire right now, but that's
not going to happen.  With all whats going on in the world
with Health care and what not, who knows what that
will mean for us. He works in the Medical field and has been for
going on 26 years, I give thanks each day that we
have great medical benefits, but that could all change.
I'm rambling now, but another thing I've been
thinking about is re-vamping our food storage. I've always believed in being
prepared and we do have quite a bit of food storage but we could always do
better.  Health is another concern of mine
I am very aware of it. In my occupation, in the Insurance
business, I am always looking at the obituaries and checking
if  any of our clients have passed away, and many times
I come across some obituaries where there are those that were just
to young to die. Some younger than myself and some my age.
It is daunting.  There is so much I would like to do while I am
here on earth, life is too short, there is no time to waste.
But I'm all for having fun too! It's just that
whole prioritizing, essential thing I have to be aware
of.  I don't want to be a downer,because
I'm really not, if you know me, I'm just
thinking out loud.

Jul 3, 2012

I'm home, sigh.

I got home Monday, June 25th evening, hubby picked me up from the airport. He was the best sight
for these eyes. I missed him so...
2 weeks doesn't sound like much, but he is my
comedic relief and other things.
As soon as we got home, life was already in gear,
made dinner after stopping at the grocery store
I'm on this health kick again after walking every morning
while in Utah, I really want to
keep it going.
Our house is full again with
my Mom and her friend in town for a month and
our daughter Mackenzie came forthe weekend. I love when she comes in to town
she's always cheerful and happy. I have so much
to do around the house, lots of gardening
and puttering, which I do enjoy. July
is going to be another busy month.
Grand kids- Derek and Tacie coming to
spend a few days with us - active summer days,
For the 2nd year I'll be DJing on the 4th for
Bridle Wood's Neighborhood celebration.
This year we are playing a little more Country. I'm finding
that I have a little Country in me and some of these
new Country songs are quite catchy.
Well toodle loo!
