After "8" count them eight years, she finally gets to open up her Temple Can. A Time Capsule of sorts. She was 15 when her Young Women class made these cans.
Look how excited she is to be opening it. The instructions said "To be opened only when you have found the right young man to "Marry"."
In each girls "can" they could put a picture of what they would like their Wedding cake to look like. She said, that she still would like it similar to this one.
This paper described what attributes her future husband would have. She said that her Fiance Jared, fulfills everything on her list. For example, it said that he must be "Hot", yep, he meets that criteria, another one, a great sense of humor, a Returned missionary and very smart!
This is Miss M "braces and all" eight years ago. Who would have thought what wonderful blessings were in store for her. Other things in the can, colors of her dream wedding, a letter from her Bishop, advice and counsel from our Church Leaders, some "bubbles in a Wedding favor" etc.
Other items, a picture of the Temple that she would like to marry in. It was the San Diego Temple for the longest time until a Temple was built just 27 minutes from our home, she is now very happy to be marrying in.
As her Mother, I am so proud of her and for the choices she has made that has got her to this place in her life. She will have many happy memories to share with her future children as she shares these items, from her Temple Can. Congratulations Mackenzie and Jared, September 10, 2011 is your day!
