Muse and ramblings

So this will probably be a mish mash of "potatoes" so please
bear with me.  So last November I bought this monster of a Treadmill
from Craigslist from a private party. It has been one of the best things
that has happened in my life. For One, it was a fantastic deal.
I love the fact that I can get right out of bed and throw my clothes and running shoes
on, drink about 32 oz's of flavored water and get on it.  I  do 3 miles, 5-6 days a week. I've incorporated
running part of the way, my best has been running 2 of the 3 miles.
I know, no big deal for you Runners.  I use to watch "Me TV" they have the old shows like Petticoat Junction or My Three Sons, while working out but
the past couple of weeks I have been listening to Mindy Gledhill on my IPhone. I plug
it into our amp and listen through the speakers and crank it up. It
just puts me into a good place that I can focus.
The other morning, I was pretty stressed and as I looked across the room, I gazed at the
picture hanging above our small TV and as I concentrated on it
it gave me the determination to push through.
See below:

I kept reading it over and over again and that was the morning I
was able to run the 2 of the 3 miles.

Okay, get ready for a commercial for "The Mormon Channel app".
I can't stress how much  I love The Mormon Channel app. I will listen
to the Scriptures first and then either listen to Live Mormon Channel or
peruse and listen to a Conference talk, the Latest Monthly Ensign or it's Music etc.
Too much to tell, You will have to upload it and find out for yourself.
The App is free, of course.
I listen to it while I am getting ready for work, through breakfast etc.
It is really the best way to start off my morning
and puts me in a good frame of mind.
I've learned ton's from listening to
"conversations and uplifting interviews. Today's
interviews were with former Mission President Eric Jackson and his
wife who were over the Uganda Mission in 2010 and
then an interview with Former General Relief Society President
Julie Beck. I learn so much!

I highly recommend if you want to start your day right take a
listen. This is what the app looks like.

I've stopped watching the News ( too much of a drag) and listening to regular Radio because,
let's face it, we can be more selective of what tunes or information we want
to digest. If I really want to know about the news I can check it
out on the Internet without the commercials.  I'm not living Under a Rock,
I think I'm still informed.

As I reach the half century mark, (and to me it's a great feeling) I have felt
such an importance at this time in my life to want to be closer to my
Heavenly Father, I want so much to please him, because I truly feel he
is our Father and as a child of him I am striving to be more obedient.
I feel at peace when I'm doing what's right.
I don't think that it compromises having Joy in my life.
Because he wants that for us too.
Hey, we all have challenges. I'm just trying to have a better perspective.
Note: I am not  Preaching, I'm just using this
here Platform of mine to share where I'm at, at this moment.

Life is Wonderful - that's how I see it!
It's a Gorgeous Sunny Day- I'm alive- what could be better?

thanks for checking in.

Eternal Friendships....

There are people who come into our lives that penetrate our heart's and
that no matter how far the distance or how much time has lapsed
we can pick up where we had left off as if we never
parted.  It's as if time stood still, the camera capturing the moment
frozen in time forever stating:  we are still young (in our minds) and wiser, a few gray hairs maybe, or maybe a lot, but never the less, the friendships haven't changed.
For we rejoice when they rejoice, we mourn when they mourn,
and we were of one mind and one heart, looking
out for one another.
A loyalty to them, never to be betrayed, for we our
in the club we call "sister friends".
Forever.

We laughed, we cried and didn't care as the black lines of mascara flowed down our cheeks. We called
out the ingredients of our chosen recipe, each mixing, stirring, pounding, chopping like
Top Chef's.
Then giving Thanks before feasting.

We talked till all hours of the night and  as we glanced at the clock, we were astonished of how late the hour was for it seemed
like a micro minute. We wanted to pay The Man, the keeper of all Time, to add more hours to the Night Meter.

 So much
to say, so much to catch up on, our children, our health, our testimonies, our
goals, our relationships, our personal triumphs our gut wrenching and heart breaking
tragedies, our disappointments, our resignations, our determination, our resolve, our Faith, our hopes as mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, our dreams as the young girl's inside each one of us
that we still hope to realize.

As I get older I can reflect in the differences
between my youthful friendships and friendships that are
worth it's weight in gold. I'm so thankful for the gift of time. Time that I have been
given to help me realize the importance of  good friends. Friends that make me
want to be better, friends that I have been privileged to mentor under. Friends that are
great examples of great worth.

I  believe in eternal families. I believe in Heaven.  I also believe or hope that
those friendships we hold dear to our hearts
carry on. Don't you agree?

love
