It is a Big deal to me

I wear glasses when driving long distances and especially at night, that just happens when you reach a certain age.
So it was in this case. Almost 2 weeks ago I had just parked my car in our driveway  after dropping Cece at the airport
when I got a call from a dear friend.  I had my glasses on, and I thought I would just talk to her
while sitting in the drive way. I was also eating my breakfast that I had picked up on the way home.
After we talked for quite a while I picked up my stuff, purse etc and came in the house.
I went about my day, the usual stuff, grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning etc.
No big deal, right? Right. It wasn't until Friday night when David and I decided to catch a movie that
I realized I couldn't find my glasses. I told him he'd have to drive, but in the back of my mind,
I was trying to figure out, "where are my glasses?"  Okay, let me tell you one idiosyncrasy of mine.
I pride myself that everything has it's place, my family knows this. My motto is, when ever you take something you ALWAYS put it back in it's place, because then you always know where it is.
It drives me up the wall when something isn't put back where it belongs. I have had a pair
of Pampered chef kitchen shears for over 18  years and everyone knows it must be returned in it's drawer or they're in big trouble by "momma".  I've had my glasses now for over 4 years and every time I'm done with them, they go back in it's case and in my purse. Always!!
So what happened?  I've even marked my old kitchen broom in permanent marker stating
" DON'T TOUCH OR DIE". because I was tired of finding it in the basement, or garage or back yard and never in the kitchen closet where it belonged.  Okay, so now you really think I'm crazy and
OCD! I'm really not, but there are some things that drive me nuts and that's one of them.
So it was with humility that after almost 50 years, Patsy lost something, and it was because of her own doing.
So here it was almost 3 days and I couldn't find my glasses. I didn't want to have to go to the eye doctor and get a new prescription, (even though I probably should).
Dave was working out in the yard. I was in the house looking and looking, what did I do with my blasted glasses? I knelt down in my room and prayed. Heavenly Father, I know this isn't a big deal to you but it is a big deal to me. Please help me find my glasses. I can't drive at night or at least I shouldn't. (I was having nightmare's  that I was driving at night without them and I caused a big
accident and it was due to me not having my glasses. ) Any way, I plead with him to help me
trace back my steps from that day to where I last had them.  I ended my prayer and as I got
up I started remembering, when I was getting out of my car, my hands were full, with my purse, my scarf, the newspaper and wrappers and the sack my breakfast was in. So I walked to my car and
started walking back to the house, and then I remembered, I went to the back patio to throw away
my garbage in the large trash can. Something told me to look for the sack and wrapper that I had
thrown away.  I found it and noticed it had something in it, I  picked up the sack and there at the bottom of the sack, was "My glasses".
I was so excited and went running to look for David to tell him, I was crying and laughing and
downright jubilant that I had found my glasses and that my prayers were answered.  David looked at me, and just said, "good" and went on with his
raking. But I, couldn't be contained. It was a "Big Deal to me"!! Heavenly Father
had answered this foolish girl's prayers. His tender mercy, for me. I know it may seem
insignificant to some, but to me it confirms that the Lord
does hear and answer's our prayers and some times it is immediate.

I know that our Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us and cares for us even
in small circumstances such as this.
This is my testimony of Prayer.
